Our specialist children’s home provides care and support for children and young people aged 7 to 18 with additional needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN) and learning disabilities.

Based in a purposely renovated peaceful farmhouse setting in Burnley, East Lancashire, we offer a nurturing, therapeutic environment where children can feel safe, understood and supported to grow.

Through consistent relationships, tailored support and a child centred approach, we focus on building emotional wellbeing, confidence and independence, helping each young person reach their full potential.

Rising Wonders Ltd offers residential care for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Learning disabilities and complex needs with associated challenging behaviour and young people with SEBD.

Sensory Spaces

Our home includes a dedicated sensory room, sensory garden, and play therapy room, providing children with safe and enriching spaces to self-regulate, and express themselves safely. These areas have been thoughtfully designed to promote emotional well-being, creativity, and therapeutic engagement — supporting each child’s unique developmental needs.

Care

We provide personalised residential child care and therapeutic parenting for children and young people to meet the unique needs of each child. Our compassionate staff prioritise the well-being and growth of the children in our care. With our therapeutic approach, we are committed to improving the lives of the children we serve.

Therapeutic Approach

Our home offers therapeutic assessments, tailored behaviour support, and ongoing formulation for each child. We prioritise staff training and clinical supervision grounded in the PACE model of parenting. This approach ensures each child receives the necessary support to thrive.

Our team offers consistent, nurturing support using a therapeutic parenting approach, creating a stable environment where children feel safe, understood and able to build trust. We focus on developing confidence, independence and emotional security through strong, meaningful relationships.

Therapeutic Approach

Our therapeutic approach is embedded into daily care. We provide ongoing assessment, formulation and tailored support for each child, ensuring their needs are understood and responded to consistently. Our staff receive regular training and supervision grounded in the PACE model and trauma informed practice. This enables us to support emotional regulation, reduce distress and help each child build the skills they need to thrive.

Our Response Time
We aim to acknowledge all referrals within 24 hours
and provide a placement decision within 48 hours where possible.

• Children who benefit from a structured, therapeutic and nurturing environment
• Children requiring consistent, relationship led care to support emotional regulation and development 

We consider both planned and emergency referrals.

If you are unsure whether a placement is suitable, we welcome discussions with referring professionals.
